Mommy, Fiance,Student, and Employee!!??

YES!!! IT IS POSSIBLE!!! I am in my second semester of Nursing school working part time as a Pregnancy Case Manager and being a mom and Fiance. Yes, most of the time I would like to shoot myself, but I am managing better than even I expected. So for those of you out there that are debating whether you can do it or not, let me just say YOU CAN! sure it is tough. I will not lie to you. But is it worth it? YOU BET IT IS! With my daughter I am mom. With my patients I am a counselor, and in school I am ME! I get to ask questions, and learn and be the newbie, not the one that answers the questions. I am learning something I never thought I could do and it is the best experience since my daughter was born! I love being a mom and a wife and I do love my job, but Nursing school has reminded me of who I used to be. I was always a good student and getting back into it, I still am. I have 2 semesters once this one is done and I cannot wait. Sure it is intense, sure I am stressed, sure sometimes we eat take out more than we should, but I AM LOVING IT! Find that one thing you excel at and are happy doing it and it changes you. It allows you work your butt off but you are happy while doing it. Go out there, explore, ask questions, find yourself. Mothers and wives are people too and the skills of every woman go beyond making dinner and doing ponytails. Do those make me happy. ABSOLUTELY. But so does achieving my goals, late night studying, and HW dates every Monday-Friday with my now 5 1/2 year old little girl. Adjustment is key. Human beings are designed to adjust. It takes time, but once you find that routine, it becomes you. You learn to juggle and prioritize and it makes you feel great! So go out there and do the impossible, because I bet you are stronger and can take on more than you ever imagined possible!
